The 12th of November 2019 was the official book launch of Long Way Home at Ulmarra.
Long Way Home is a collection of short stories written by local people who live in the Clarence Valley. Kaia Mercy won the secondary division with her story about her grandfather Lester Mercy’s childhood on Ulgundahi Island. Another contributor to the book was Uncle Ron Heron, his story titled Splitting of the Storm.
