Acknowledgement Wall

Acknowledgment Wall.

Maclean High School students and staff were extremely proud to have an Acknowledgment Wall mural installed in the A Block foyer at the entrance from the quad last week. This space has been well overdue for a facelift and the result has been fantastic.

The Acknowledgment Wall symbolises Maclean High School’s strong ties with the Yaegl Community. As a greeting, it acknowledges the continuing connection of the land and water to the Yaegl Community and extends this message to other communities that visit our school.

The artist behind this creation is Krystal Randall a Yaegl woman who worked at Maclean as a Student Support Officer for 14 years. The Dingo featured in the mural is the totem of the Yaegl people. The colours and flora design are Yaegl plants combined with the colours of the land and the colours of Maclean High School.
